Center Console Mod

Cables, cables & more cables…

This is a quick mod designed to keep those pesky phone, tablet and camera cables organized and contained inside your center console.

 

The inside of the center console arm rest. I have already removed the factory installed phone attachment leaving these 4 holes

Grab a tape measure or a slide caliper to take measurements of the holes

Pick yourself up a pack of Husky 3 Pack organizers from Home Depot

Flip over the MEDIUM sized organizer and cover with painters tape

Start marking the tape and use a speed square to ensure you keep things true

Mark the vertical center line

Measure half the distance from the center line and make your mark

Ensure that all your measurements are correct BEFORE punching your holes

I made the holes using a leather punch

The bag with all the holes punched

Tape is removed

Grab some small washers and screws to fit the factory holes

Insert the screws and washers

Install the opposite side of the zipper FIRST!

You’re done, now time to fill it up!
