Camping with the Boys – Picayune Strand

Wesley and I met up with a bunch of Jeeps and 1 sweet diesel Toyota on the west coast of Florida to do some wheeling and camping. The camp trip was organized by #coastlandcrawlers and it didn’t disappoint! There were a couple familiar faces and we had the pleasure of making some new friends on the trip. I brought Wesley along for our first Father and Son camping trip and it was perfect…there were 6 other boys under 7 years old! It was awesome, when we got to camp after a few hours of wheeling, within minutes all the boys were covered in dirt! Ha! We did a few trail runs on Saturday and Sunday and the terrain was very dry causing white out conditions….especially if you were in the back of the pack. Of course there were a few Jeeps with their doors off to enjoy the Florida weather, but man, they got pummeled with the dust! Sand, dust and fallen trees were the extent of the obstacles and we didn’t see a drop of water along the way (so no water crossings for us). Overall it was a fun 2 day trip with some laughs, new friends and new trails to explore. Get out there and create your own adventure, big or small!
